• OVER 9000 tweaks have been done to this windows to make it go fast.
• Lots of useless shit removed. (If something you need was removed, add a note to the Feedback section.)

Is this a version you can install to an external HD?

If you could somehow install standard XP on an external drive this would work too.

Oh wait, never mind...but when I install, it asks me to enter the 25 digit CD key. I thought W/i/ndows's installer bypassed that.

YET ANOTHER EDIT!: Just got a working key from The Pirate Bay.

It DOES bypass that, but it must be a fresh install of windows, not ontop of a already installed setup for everything to work. AnonUser 15:43, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

• I got an error when i try to install this on my laptop , works great in virtualbox "File MegaSR.sys caused an unexpected error (256) at line 3540 in d:\xpsp\boot\setup\setup.c. Press any key to continue". It was a corrupted install i downloaded the iso from the other website and it worked

I have never had this problem before, try googleing the error, anything that comes up to fix windows xp will work with this. AnonUser 23:18, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

volume shadow copy is fucked

yeah. haven't figured out a workaround yet. i usually just use the built Backup program xp comes with to keep a clean/stable copy of my setup in case i really fuck some shit up... which uses volume shadow copy.

How did you get the window up if it was already running in the background?

This is one of the included "goodies" and if you ran it on yourself you're just dumb. It's not and never has been running on my install. Plus I'm sure the contributor(s) of this whole w/i/ndows project are at the least clever enough to obscure it better than that if that was the intention... they've had at least CS III duh

I've just installed this in a virtualbox and I see no ftp.exe.

Looks like the key got blacklisted. I loaded it on a different computer a little over a week ago and didn't have any problems, but upon installing it earlier today [7/12/09] it wouldn't pass WGA.

• Okay, so people are saying there shouldn't be a ton of shit on it to bog down your computer. But I was thinking, what if there where 2 versions, a "Regular" and "Deluxe" version, the regular having basic stuff for people with shit computers, and the Deluxe having tons of programs, RocketDock and so on, for those with bad ass computers? Also, W/i/ndows needs more stuff, like a Bit Torrent client, help files for noobs, links to useful sites, ect. As well as maybe some other computer essentials such as Emulators and Roms and cracked programs, such as maybe flash, photoshop, an antivirus, Microsoft Office ect.

I may use this idea, but the delux will only use more useful shit. People can download their own roms/emulators/games, pick their own antiviruses, ect. One reason I may not use this idea is because I like to keep the entire system fitting on a normal 700mb CD. The Delux will be DVD-sized. Also, I like to keep my OS light. Does this mean I have a shitty ass computer? ;).

Maybe add pre-installed bookmarks or useful sites, like bluffmycall.com and phone carrier lookup, tools that are internet based... stuff like that.

Make a version based off of TinyXP so I don't have to waste a disc downloading drivers.
