Please add the summary of your local protest to this template!

Numbers in (parentheses) indicate change from Feb 10 raids. Overall situation is: EPIC WIN. NUMBERS ARE UP FROM ***ALL*** REPORTS IN SO FAR, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A FEW AMERICAN CITIES. (significantly, Seattle, Clearwater and Orlando). (oh, and AUS: Perth was down ~50, but all other AUS were up.)

TOTAL ESTIMATE FROM ALL REPORTS IN SO FAR: ~8200 protesters. (Actual total is likely to be higher since not all reports are passed to us.)

Approximation: 150 at the height of the protest, an estimated 400 total (that's about twice as much as last raid; WIN)

There was cake and pizza.

And epic stare-down.

2 police officers were offered cake. They declined.

Oh yeah. We also rickrolled them, and Bel-Air'd them. Also rickroll'd a train as the group dispersed.

Lots of supporting honks from drivers-by. A lot of local transit bus-drivers honked too. Busdrivers support Anon!

11:00 AM to 5:00? PM

http://s260.photobucket.com/albums/ii12/anon457/prochan/

  • WIN 60+ heads, 20 more than Feb
  • no police problems at all
  • actually got rickrolled by car horn...lulz
  • cake
  • tons of honks of support, and interested passerbys
  • some fail and aids by newfags (signs that had nothing to do with scientology, too much memeing, etc)
  • [Strike]news coverage by FOX 40 News tonite a 10[/Strike]
  • ^nope^
  • reports of one anon group tailed by scifag
  • make that two reports. some scifag or investigator hired by scifags tailed my group back to our parking garage. creepy motherfucker.
  • Ex-scientologist marches in support. (Thanks anonymous!)

[edit] United States: Los Angeles, CA

11:00 to 14:00 morning protest

  • Initial reports are of much win; lots of honking in our favor, lots of Anons, and even PIions with guns! The police presence was much more noticeable this time, but they were all totally cool, from current understanding.
  • Turnout estimates: 500 or more throughout, including WiseBeardMan
  • When the PIion with the piece was spotted, a Spartan was quickly dispatched to follow with a sign pointing him out
  • Many fliers were handed out to passerbys
  • Honk if you think Scientology is a Cult plane flew overhead

16:30 At the shrine

  • At least 200 people were in attendance
  • While win, there was some suck because the police pushed it back a block and put up tape
  • A few PIions tried to put on masks and pretend they weren't PIions, but no more reports of weapons

All in all, much win throughout the day and estimates of anywhere from 500 to 600 unique anons

[edit] United States: Tustin/Irvine, CA

14:00 to 18:30 afternoon (with some Anon presence until ???)

  • 101% WIN!!1one! Tons of honking, passing fliers to far-right lane, cops were mostly on our side and very noticeable. They even watched our cars!!!! No arrests or citations. One warning.
  • A few crazy Scinos driving around and on foot with cameras (odd husband/wife team?). Some dude came out from inside the org and we posed for a group pic. Odd car/camera teams posted on various intersections and driveways. They fled when I turned my cam on them.
  • Estimated turnout of 20-25. Had a couple people join us from the LA protest at around 4:00. Got some of the cops and peds interested.
  • Most left at around 6:00. As we cleaned up, a group of 4 came by and picked up the signs. No idea how late they stayed.

[edit] United States: Las Vegas, NV

Dual events: A march down the Las Vegas Strip and the regular protest across the street from the Co$ center on Sahara ave

[edit] The March

The only raid to have a 4-mile march, Las Vegas was fun as hell for all involved. Meeting started at 11:00am, and slowly Anonymous trickled in at the meeting point in front of the MGM lion on Tropicana and Las Vegas Blvd. Protesting was had and flyers were handed out until 12:35pm, when the march began.

Marching north on Las Vegas Blvd, we shouted and handed out flyers. No music was available, so no rickrolls. Near the end of the march, though, word came in that Metro was not allowing protesting without a permit and was requiring mask removal. This got the group down, until an Anonymous gave a speech about how hard we've all worked. After some shouts of joy, we continued our march.

At about 2:20, more than an hour and a half later, we arrived to delicious cake, water, and more Anonymous.

[edit] The Protest

Raid commenced at 11:30am. The intial number of Anon present was 3. Balls of steel. The Scilons must have told the police one hell of a blood/sex/crime story about the evils of the internet hate machine. There were cops EVERYWHERE, they even had an abmulance there on stand-by. They seemed to be expecting a some kind of bloodbath but were dissapointed and bored when that didn't happen. They settled for just hassling Anony-mom and the other anons every once in a while. The Scilons were out in-force, at times, outnumbering Anonymous. One anon on the way to the march said he was tailed in his car for several miles after stopping by the protest. Over time, other anon trickled in here-and-there, increasing the number to 12, all waiting with bated breath. Then... at 2:15pm a large group was spotted on Sahara ave approaching from the west, in the direction of the Strip. The tension was thick... then as the group approached, a white mask was spotted! And another! Then three more! Guy Fawkes! Suddenly Anonymous, thousands of them (well... dozens of them, anyway). At 2:27pm the cavalry has arrived. EPIC WIN. Over the next hour-and-a-half, delicious cake was eaten, dox were distributed, pickets were waved, rickrolls were sung, car horns were honked, and very special "Happy Birthday to You" was sung for LRH. At this point, there were several plants loitering around, but they were being friendly and "chummy" rather than abusive or disruptive. At 4:00pm, shouting promises that we'll be back next month, Anonymous cleaned up and left the scene without incident.

  • The current unoffical headcount is 45, although the final total may be higher.
  • Metro was border-line abusive.
  • No media, not even KLAS. EPIC FAIL.
  • Someone claims to have been tailed while driving during the raid.
  • Scilons seem to be using (abusing) more political clout this time.

[edit] United States: Reno, NV

11:00 to 15:00+ protest

  • 10-15 brave Anonymous, no visible Scilons or PIlons noticable except a few spotted going into the local Scilon Basestar after protest marched from original meeting point to Scilon space. Sadly no music or cake, but some verbal Rickrollage and many horns honked. Scilon neighbors welcomed us there and were glad that we had finally made it to dethrone the prince of Bel Air.

Chocolate mudkip caek was had by all! Did you know that chocolate was made of Mudkip? There was also Mudkip-Jima to the amusement of all.

MegaphoneBitch, Beehive, and the famous ex-scilon Tommy Gorman (who came with this lovely wife Jennifer) rocked the megaphone. Continous rickrolling of Co$ occured until someone gave MegaphoneBitch an Ipod much to the delight of all.

Many cars and bikes circled to honk moar! Firetruck also rang bell in support, along with saint patty's day parade boat! Numbers at peak were between 250 & 300.

Complete win. About 25 people showed up. Only a few CoS members were noted. One came by telling us we were all pedophiles and child molesters, saying it's a good thing we had masks on, then calling us assholes. Gave Anon the finger as his picture was taken.

Police were awesome and informed us of the "bullshit" (their words) CoS report that we were blocking traffic. Police were watching us the whole time and were rewarded with cookies and a thank you card.

One Anon was sneakily followed to his car and ambushed with camera, taking photos of him and his license plate.

Total success. We had about 25-30 anons throughout the whole thing. The CoS had their sidewalk sprinklers on to demotavate us but we just protested in the wetness. Eventually the cops had them turn it off because they were tired of getting wet. Tons of honks and we gave out hundreds of fliers. Best of all there was cake!

[edit] United States: Santa Barbara, CA

Meet was from 1100-1330.

About 40 anons, up from ~20 in the last raid. There was cake and a birthday song for LRH. Many cars honked, one public scientologist came out and tried to bullbait us. There was an epic peace march that started at noon which may have affected our numbers, but anon was still moar legion than last time.

[edit] United States: Seattle, WA

9:30 AM to 3:00PM

About 150 people, but I'm not the guy who did the headcount, seattlites, please confirm the numbers. We did pretty good considering there was a War protest, and a St. Patty's day parade as well.

9:30AM, some anons started in Seattle Center handing out fliers.

10:30AM, most of the other anons showed up in Westlake Center in downtown Seattle, and marched to the Seattle Co$ center at around 11am. The Seattle Co$ is located at the corner of two streets, one of which passes under the other. A Banner was hung on the overpass. Two bewildered security guards watched the Co$ parking lot, they were pretty cool and seemed to be reading some of the fliers. Lots of honking from passing motorists, signs, etc. Metro Transit buses joined in as well.

We had a lot of fliers, but very little foot traffic as the Co$ is in the middle of nowhere. So a group detached, and headed to westlake to hand out fliers. We pamphleted some passerbys, but the Angry Lunged anons kept shouting slogans, scaring some people and resulting in some fail.

Reports are the protest at the Co$ broke up around 3pm, and another Anon reported that garbage was left behind, again fail.

So Seattle protests were a mix of fail and win, as was the weather, changing from drizzle to sun.

The C0$ is a pretty run down building in the middle of nowhere. It has a small 'courtyard' on one side, with some pathetic plastic furniture surrounded by a fence and barbed wire. Across the street is some sort of car park/lot used by some Seattle company and their lot is ringed by barbwire as well. The barbwire at that company overhangs outward, obviously intended to keep people out. Many anons found it humorous that the barbwire on the Seattle Co$' courtyard overhangs inward just like a jail, and is thus intended to keep people in. The whole building is very sad, with peeling paint, and the Co$ sign is just a cheap banner nailed to the building.

On the job to ensure April turns out better.

[edit] United States: Portland, OR

11:00 to 2:00pm Pacific time

  • Protest at main CoS center downtown (SW Salmon)
  • Solid protest, estimated 100+ people attending.
  • Coincided with an anti-war protest in Portland, with an excellent job done by the Anons (especially the women) on handing out a large volume of flyers.
  • Lots of great honking from hundreds of cards that drove down the main street.
  • An anon was approached by five CoS members who were in high school/college. Appeared be carrying CCHR or some sort of flyer.

11:00 to 2:00pm Pacific time

  • Protested in front of CoS Org at 722 N. State Street.
  • Lots of honking, police drove by 3 times and waved each time.
  • Party hats were a hit, but the cake was a lie.
  • 12 people exactly. Great for our small town.

[edit] United States: Salt Lake City, UT

Good turnout, no issues with police--Lt. Rusty Isakson came by and spoke with us shortly after arriving at the Scientology building; was very helpful, didn't mind that we had no leader and that permit guy was not there yet. One Scientologist assigned to argue with us failed pretty epically. Cake was had. Honks were plentiful, including a few by light rail drivers. One fail truck threw a cup of ice at an Anon, but no injuries reported beyond the embarrassment of sharing a city with said douchebag. Headcount: Best (and possibly only) single headcount was 38; peak participation estimated at approximately 45.

[edit] Mission Briefing

Meet up at Churchill Square at 11:30am. Raid will commence at noon.

It has snowed hard last night, but the temperature is expected to be -4. Use tuques and scarves like last time.

Although no hostiles were at the last raid, DO NOT let your guard down.

[edit] Mission Result

Over 60 people showed up, lots of honks if you think scientology is a cult responses, even by the police, Bus drivers, and road workers. (Best headcount was 64)

Peace protest down the street caused a lot of extra passers by.

We had had cake(delicious and moist), Starbucks employee bought us a box of coffee to show support.

Scifags didn't want any Cake (Thought it was a lie!), but we offered.

They took pictures, we took pictures while they tried.

Epic Win.

11:00 to 15:00 morning protest We had about 67 at the high point, but after that many people came and went and we had about 100 total people there when it was all over. There were some possible scientologists driving around the block at the begining of the protest taking pictures and video from their car, but they quickly left. Midway through the protest some random lady came by and asked if we wanted pizza, only to return 45 minutes later with $127.23 worth of pizza for anonymous. Not only was there pizza, but we also had a OH SHI- cake. Even with the offering of cake, pizza and Will Smith music, the scientologists refused to come out and speak to us. There was lots of honking lots of dancing and lots of win. The police officer that was on watch was a bit of a bitch, refused to answer my questions and followed us to our car afterwards, but another squad car pulled over, took flyers and listened to us explain some of the crimes of Scientology and they approved of the protest.

WB hogged up the megaphone and spent about an hour ranting angrily at the Scientologists, inviting them to join in the party and telling the Xenu story out loud twice. Fortunatly, his voice became the only casualty of the protest.

[edit] The Raid

Potentially epic win raid that unfortunately, was only moderate win due to oppressive police. Around 11:15 a female police officer stopped her car and issued an ultimatum to all protesters: "Show a permit, disperse, or be arrested". This was complicated by the issue that no permit exists for protesting as far as anyone has been able to learn. We told her this and she told us that if we don't show her a permit right now, we'll be arrested. I told her we'd do a moving protest then because they can't arrest us if we keep walking, and lead a group away.

Two or three groups of anons continued to demonstrate throughout the city, moving from place to place.

The police harassment we had is UNACCEPTABLE. Please read here for more info.

Video:

Pics:

[edit] Group 1: Long Walk / Marcabian Chess

Unlike the second, larger group, we did not stick around the scifag church after the police gave the order to disband. Instead, we hauled ass, covering nearly 6 miles of Chicago streets handing out fliers and showing our signs. Early on some construction workers started a chant for us, as they hammered on the el tracks. We got a lot of honks, and even one under cover police officer who was wearing a suit (maybe a detective) expressed support for what we were doing. Around 12:30 we returned to the church to see the same female police officer lecturing more demonstrates, and saw the other two groups. She was joined by a male police officer who told us to GTFO or be arrested (they REALLY liked that word today). We then continued our long haul around the city. In the end, while it was unfortunate that we were not aware of the protesters that stayed by the Church, getting the message out all around the north side was pretty awesome.

Memorable moments include: The chanting construction crew, the ambulance that honked at us, playing chess in a park using spaceships[1], the oh so many Saint Patrick's day drunks who shouted support and criticism at us from on foot, taxis, balconies, and more, and the drunks who threw sausages at us, which prompted one anon to say "Our sausages will blot out the sun.... so we will fight in the shade". we even got a free can of Red Bull each from a truck that was handing them out near the Belmont Brown Line stop. (Anyone else who was with us, feel free to add more events, quotes, or other fun stuff to this)

Video from Marcabian Chess / Long Walk group might be a bit due to technical considerations and the need to tweak some participants for better anonymity, especially with the whole "Anonymous Exposed" bullshit going on.

In any case, Long Walk is Long.

[edit] Group 2: Hopscotch

The main group circled the block by the scientology headquarters rickrolling, singing happy birthday, and generally displaying a huge show of force. Notable people included: Insanely Old Man, who was at least 80, and handed out newspapers, some random dancing retard, and Tall Black Ninja-man, who had the megaphone and led us in a chorus. Some of the most notable moments were several drunk people on balconies cheering two us, at least a couple CTA buses honking or us, a scifag in front of their building who declared that he was going to "get a wagon over here" if we didn't move further from the building, and finally the hopscotch course. There was a hopscotch course on the route, and we decided that the only rational thing to do was line up single file and play. If you've never seen 100 people line up and do hopscotch, you have not lived. The protest ended with the eating of delicious cake, which was decorated with "Party Hard" and "Happy Birthday L. Ron".

The longcat formation as many came to call it (Lining up single file, spreading ourselves out, and just circling the block across the street from the scifag building) was extremely successful. We weren't blocking anything and kept moving, so the police couldn't do a thing about us. It's a tiring, but successful tactic that should be worked into the plans for next time.

12pm: Anons still gathering 4:40pm: Protest was going on peacefully... (at 36°C... it was HOT) Local Scientology leader shows up in his car -the building was closed, but they left some kind of "janitor" to look after the scene-... after a brief while.. a police car showed up and asked some questions... he said it was ok and he leaves... after a while, he returns with another 2 police trucks and started to make questions.. they told us we needed to fill some "permission" sheets... but they saw we were actually trying to do a good thing and asked us to take the case to the local IRS or something on the lines...they sended us home.. peacefully still the cops agreeded with us :D

On a side note, after the Locale leader passed by, a party van showed up in front of the dianetics center with loud speakers, bongos and loud music... after we left, they left the place as well.. coincidence?

Turnout: 100+ (20 or more anon came and went during)

[edit] United States: San Antonio, TX

No more than 12 total protesters. The protest started slow with 3 people. St. Patrick's Day parade happening at the same time and place made it hard for everyone to find each other. Afterwards, the protest picked up and snowcones and caek were had.

About a hundred Anon, give or take.

[edit] Raid Events

The cake was not a lie; there was delicious cake as well as delicious cupcakes. Bottled water was plentiful, and it was fortunate - the heat was oppressive.

Signs were everywhere, on all four corners of the intersection of Fondren and Westheimer, and honks were gotten from many, MANY cars.

Houston police were watching Anon from a white van, clearly marked, but they didn't interfere with us.

The Anonymous speech was read and videotaped, and much fanfare was given.

Near the end, one Anon brought out a laptop and hooked it up to another Anon's car stereo to play such Anon classics as Rickroll, Bel Air, Chocolate Rain, and many more hits from the "LULZ" albums.

[edit] Infiltration Attempts

At least one Scilon put on a mask and tried to mingle with the crowd. He was clearly identified as a Scilon, though, and backed off.

Multiple Scilons were sitting at Starbucks monitoring Anon. It is presumed they were using SMS and cellphones to speak with their handlers inside the Scilon base, which was having an indoor picnic.

No Scilon children were seen here.

[edit] End Raid

The raid ended around 3:30 PM, and was generally considered to be a triumph, so we're making a note here: huge success.

It's hard to overstate our satisfaction.

Epic win.

Anon is looking forward to the next raid.

Also, if anyone has the replacement IRC info for Partyvan, please post it here, or on the IRC page - Partyvan is having DNS issues, apparently.

[edit] United States: St. Louis, MO

80 people at one time. About 100 different anons flowed in and out. Great signage. The Scibase is on the quiet end of a major throughfare and marching up and down attracted a lot of attention, horn honks, and general lulz. Had a good time showing my sign in the front of all the glass lined windows. Lot of good question and answer sessions with people. We had a lot of really nice folks from the local jewish synagogue, talked to them about Purim and about how Scientology likes to destroy other religions by portraying their prophets as aspects of Xenu or other made up evil space figures.

The twinkies with "You Found the Cake" stickers were the best idea I saw all day. We had a disconnected ex-sci and she was awesome. Just listening to her talk about how much she missed her family kept me going all day.

The scikids kept to themselves. I had a fun debate with either two little JB scientologists or scene girls, we harassed a scientology photog and she tried to lie her way out, group speech scared somebody and they popped their head out. They took pictures from the third floor window and a partyvan that spent most of the morning rolling up and down the block, snapping pics. Cops were non-existant, and stayed far from us. They kept going in and out of the scibase, and I kept asking them how the auditing was doing. We heard about a couple of people getting tailed, but that's unconfirmed for the moment. Very solid work done by all.

[edit] United States: Biloxi, MS

At 11 am a merry band of Anonymous made their way down to the coast. Upon arrival we met up with another anonymous. We continued to walk up and down the beach with signs. it was semi-win. A weak scion engaged us from over 600 feet away. More and more members showed up as time passed. We now had 10+ members marching to war against the cult. Upon arrival we were met by two new Anonymous. We were informed that the scions have been calling the cops who then sent the animal control. We hoped there would be no dogs. Anyway 22 members present and we got the cops to like us while the scions are held up in their mission.

Half the town now hates them and wants them gone.

Epic win: the town of Biloxi was having a St. Patty's day parade. Throughout the entire parade members of anonymous marched with signs and received many beads. We even gave some to the scions because they missed the parade.

All in all i hope L.Ron likes that cake

Cold, but luckily 50+ degrees warmer than 2/10/08. Started at 11 with about 30-40 people. Numbers grew swiftly, reaching over 100 by 12:30. Ended around 4. About mid-day there was a count of ~145 according to the leader-y type guy with the megaphone. We were watched the entire time by the same guy standing just inside the door of the Scientology center across the street. There was also a camera in a second floor window of the center. Cops loved us - honked for us numerous times. Same with a fire truck or two that passed, city buses, taxis and very many cars and pedestrians. Many non-anons became involved, read our signs, took our fliers and gave general signs of approval. A few from Operation Clambake saw us and will be joining us in April. Very successful day. [edit] United States: Memphis, TN

Attendance - 45 throughout the day, a good turnout despite the wind, HEAVY rain and cold. Highlights include a pregame call to Magoo (Memphis LOVES Magoo), lots of chants, a very polite visit from the cops (We also loves MPD) and seeing actual Scientologists at the Memphis Mission. Word to the wise -THEY ARE NOT CLOSED!

We also had a very moving reading of all of the names of the deaths related to Scientology by one of our Anons, followed by the calling out to the Church as to why they are dead, and one young man spoke for how we speak for those who can no longer speak.

[edit] United States: Clearwater, FL

Turnout: 200+

Just came back from the clearwater raid. epic win all around. scions rented about a dozen very large trucks and parked them on the side of the road to obstruct view. no arrests that we know of so far. one bullbaiter attempted to harass us, he was easily ignored. one anon had a "hate" sign and refused to remove it (he finally removed it after 15 of us screamed at him). support from the public was epic. many many honks(including honks from an ambulance!), and many flyers handed out. private investigators were aggressive at following and trying to identify exiting anons. multiple minivans tried to tail anons, but were quickly lost with a couple of very sharp, sudden u turns. the police loved us. cake was enjoyed. music was played. dancing occured. not one, but two pinatas were destroyed. a group photo will be posted asap.

there were minor instances with children at the event. one parent took their 4 year old son and explained to him that we were bank robbers. she was easily ignored.

some anons were served with a cease to desist order before arriving to the event. (mine was recieved after the protest) the injunctions had no effect on our protests whatsoever.

media coverage from fox 13, abc action news (abc 28), st pete times, tampa tribune, newschannel 8 (nbc 8), and a couple of semi-professional youtube users/freelance video reporters.

  • there's an ABC news report video streamable here but I capped it an encoded to mp4 because the streaming sucks and because people might want want it for source material: MP4 HERE.

Turnout: 120-130
Start: 1:00pm
End: 5:00-6:00pm

Lots of honking and cheering. There was a camera man outside of the Scientology building videotaping us all while another was taking more specific photos of people. Police were accommodating but you could tell some were irritated by us all being there. Delicious xenu cake was served.

There were several people with cameras, so please try to get the pictures and videos out to the internet and post them here also.

[edit] United States: Boston, MA

Turnout: Roughly 280

Just returned from Boston Raid. We had police eating delicious cake (LIES! No police touched the delicious cake at ANY point!), sang happy birthday to L Ron on multiple occasions. Rick Rolled many times, got honks from trollies, Geek Squad, 18-wheelers, and countless cars. Lots of news coverage. Upon leaving, we drove by and honked, and we were pulled over, and told to wait while we were written a $50 citation for "Harsh/Abrasive Noise"

While waiting, one Scientologist with a camera took about 30 pictures of us pulled over, while laughing. He stopped laughing when we, and even a police officer got in his face and told him that if the pictures left his camera, he and the "church" would be sued for harassment. The police officer even called him a freak. Epic Win.

I was in the car that got pulled over. The scientologist with the camera was laughing, until we started laughing psychotically back at him and telling to keep laughing. He didn't know how to react, particularly after we called over the police officer who was on our side.

Stoop Kid's afraid to leave his stoop. Shoop Kid's afraid to shoop da woop.

Free Will Smith!!

A scieno walked through the crowd to get to the church, and as he walked through he was saying things like "free speech that requires masks? cowards!" A few mins later I saw him coming out of the center and as he walked back through the crowd saying the same shit. I walked behind him dancing. He stopped and said "are you threatening me" and I said "no, I want to dance". He called me a coward and walked away. I hope this was in keeping with expected anon behavior.

Epic IRL raid is EPIC. /r/ing pics of Rick Astley 'rolling the protest. The Day the Internet Went to Wendy's.

Second viewpoint: We saw you get pulled over and there were 4 Scientologist taking pics of you guys in the car. Couple of us starting booing when we noticed you were getting ticketed for honking. 200+ turnout. Massive amounts of cake. Stoop kid left the stoop to start taking pics near the Anons but he got run off. Fox news was there and we should be on the local news at 10pm. Several people interviewed and DVDs were distributed to Fox Boston. Epic win!!!

Third Viewpoint: The policemen loved it. A policeman was walking by and an anon member asked "Are you having fun?" The policeman laughed and said "Not as much fun as you guys."

Also, I now understand why we are called the worst drivers in the nation. There were at least 5 cars that took an illegal left into oneway traffic. We cheered everytime they did that.

We fuckin' partied hard! There was food, music, dancing, and many lulz. One guy had a whiteboard and one time it said: "I'll believe in Scientology when Thetans fly outta my ass!"

Can't wait till April 12 guys!

[edit] United States: Brunswick, ME

Turnout: 9

Police drove by occasionally, generally friendly. Turnout sucked because of the weather. Everyone was rickrolled many times. We had no bullhorn, because everyone in Maine is poor. We made up for it with kickass protest signs. We talked to the Brunswick Times Record and WGME 13. Nearly all the coordination websites are fucked over - go to our blog site to get moar info on how we're communicating now.

[edit] United States: Philadelphia, PA

Turnout: 175+

Police escort from site A to site B - awesome. We got fire trucks, ambulances, cabs, SEPTA buses, pretty much any mode of transit you can imagine honking. Lots of party horns, hats, noisemakers, etcetera. The chanting was epic, especially when it echoed off the buildings we were standing between. Police loved us, crowd was talking to us, a truck with a billboard drove by seven or eight times to honk. 5 foot hoagies, cake, and trombone solos abound, as well as an all-anon singalong version of bohemian rhapsody.

We also spoke with an ex-CoS who was happy to see us.

Epic. Win.

[edit] United States: Buffalo, NY

Turnout: 60ish

Scientologists once again hid inside the building the entire time and did not really even acknowledge our presence. More people showed up this time. The weather was about 40 so much warmer than the Feb 10th protest. One highlight of the day was a man who lives in the area talked to us. We handed him fliers. He said he was going to ask the Scientologist about the material we handed him. After entering the building he was questioned about being "one of us". He asked about the material. A Scientologist asked to see it, crumbled it up, and gave him the Way to Happiness along with a catalog of the basics books. He returned, we gave him new fliers to read and we all enjoyed reading Scientology propaganda. A man later appeared to be filming us from the roof of the building. Everyone waved and sang happy birthday to L Ron. Cake, cosmic brownies, pizza, and string cheese were enjoyed by all.

Pictures will be linked to soon.

At one point, a large convoy of /r/ochanons and Niagra Falls /b/tards arrived via train and NYS Thruway, and numbers peaked at 63.

Protest ended around 3:30pm as our permit had "run out", coming from an Buffalo PD. He gave his name as Officer Tim, giving little else for details. Bullshit, amirite?

[edit] United States: Pittsburgh, PA

Turnout: 35-40.

Scientologists seemed to be talking to the cops for a while, but not much came of it as we were completely peaceful. Had a couple people come up and argue with us, one of them was pretty reasonable and we may have converted him to the freezone. The other was drunk. There were a lot of drunks, as the area around the Scientology building has a lot of bars. The drunk people were generally pretty supportive.

We sang "Happy Birthday" and ate cake, then dispersed around 4:30. Oh, and huge props to the guy with the speakers on his belt who danced around for at least half the protest.

[edit] United States: New York City, NY

Turnout: 475-600

Anon was loud as hell. Got honks from Post-Office Truck. Police loved our protest chants, laughed at them. Scientology honcho jawed at one of the police men everytime a car horn was honked, telling him that they should be ticketed. Eventually the police man just walked away. <
